Marianne Hoogeveen (managing director)
Contour was founded by Marianne Hoogeveen, a graduate of the Hoge Hotelschool Maastricht (Bachelor of Hotel Administration in 1995). After graduation Marianne moved to Brussels and started her career in the hotel business. She worked as a Sales Manager for a four-star French hotel chain during three years. Her career continued in the tourism industry and she gained marketing experience working for the "Netherlands Bureau for Tourism & Congresses" in Brussels. During two years she maintained and improved relations with Belux travel trade partners to increase (group) travel. In July 2000 she had the opportunity to work for the Malta Tourism Authority and she was in charge of the opening of the office in Belgium. For more than 5,5 years she developed and implemented the Marketing plan to promote the Maltese islands in the Belux till the end of 2005.

After finishing his education in Tourism, Jean-Pierre started his career in the tourism branch with Wesley Tours as a travel consultant in Maastricht. He then moved to Brussels and joined the incoming Department of Belgium International Travel (now Tui Travel center/BCD Travel) of which he later became department head. After 2 years he was appointed Purchasing/ Facility Manager within the company, responsible for all general purchases, investments and internal procedures. Start and follow-up of new office openings as well as re-styling existing offices was also one of his main tasks. As from 1999 until present, Jean-Pierre obtained sales & marketing experience in different fields of industry. His specialization became account management, export and also business development in Belgium, France and The Netherlands. With his previous employer, Carlton Travel Goods, he also developed his skills in retail. |
